The Tumbling Wheels es una propuesta de Nueva Orleans, Louisiana que toma muchos elementos de la música folk americana, el country y la tradición soul. Este singular grupo toma influencias de músicos clásicos como Bessie Smith o Hoyt Axton o el dúo de comedia televisiva de los Hermanos Smothers en una peculiar mezcla de géneros. El resultado de esta extraña mezcla resulta en una rica armonía vocal, instrumentación dinámica y colorida narrativa.

La agrupación está conformada por Jeffrey Sutton en vocales, guitarra y violín, Rachel Wolf en la voz, Joanna Tomassoni en percusiones, (más) voz y guitarra, James Stram en el bajo -no, él no canta- y Sam Ottinger en otra guitarra más. The Tumbling Wheels son un conjunto con presentaciones emotivas que lo mismo hacen que uno se ponga melancólico con bebida en mano o que la abandones para echarte a bailar. Sea el motivo que sea, es un grupo que no permitirá que escucharlos pase desapercibido.
